ZaDrone
Welcome to ZaDrone!, your 3D printable, customizable, DIY educational drone.
The objective of this project is to eventually distill a lot of experience about drone technologies to provide a step-by-step walkthrough on how to build a low-cost drone that can perform autonomous navigation with obstacle avoidance in an outdoor environment; probably with absence of GPS!
This guide will introduce you to ZaDrone. More specifically, it will show you how to put the drone together, what are the default specs according the recommended hardware, how to set it up for your first flight, and how to set it up for development purposes.
The guide will also include a number of targeted tutorials on special use cases e.g. vision-based object tracking, mapping, and navigation with obstacle avoidance.
ZaDrone provides a unique experience of 3D printing, and building a drone which includes most of the required hardware and software for research and educational purposes.
If you don't have access to a 3D printer, you can request a printed frame through the email mentioned below. You can even use your own frame and the other components mentioned here, but you will do the tuning on your own!
